New to me. Says only made one year. Anyone know WHAT year, how many made, and why that bowl (actually, the whole guitar) looks pretty much exactly like an O?

It's a Hohner ECA-800 Eclipse. Korean-made. They also made a 12 string, ECA-612 Eclipse.
What years? I dunno. How many? I dunno.
You can Google those model numbers for more info, sale ads, etc.

Here also is an OFC thread of what was being said here about them in 2007.

And another OFC thread from 2014.

Thanks much for info. Not contemplating buying it by any means. Interesting treatment for the bowl. There was a time before carbon fiber when some racing catamarans had hulls made like this - thin slices of cross-cut balsa (4X4X 1/8 inches as I remember) sandwiched between two layers of fiberglass. I'm no engineer, but was told this matrix was very strong and stiff. Problems arose when you dinged the 'glass - then water got in and saturated the wood. Foam eventually replaced the wood...
