It looks like I will be planning a road trip to Crested Butte, Colorado this July!

Any of the Fan Club Brothers in that area?

If memory serves me....I think Crested Butte is in the south central part of the state...near Gunnison or Montrose.

That is about a 5 1/2 - 6 hour drive from Littleton through the mountains. Whatcha gonna be doing there? Ski season will be over.

There's no skiing in the summer and that's what they're best known for. Very beautiful though. Make sure you check of the Black Canyon of the Gunnison. Awesome.

Well,
After living in colorado for 14 years, I still have not made it to Crusty Butt. It is in the middle of Colorado mountains. One way in and one way out (unless you have serious 4-wheel drive). Pretty country, not much else around the nearer one gets to there.
Which month are you coming, I will be in Connecticut for most of summer. mike

I believe July 5-9.

From what I have found it is remote to say the least!

Can't get too close by Plane or Train.

I just got back... One of my business partners has a place up there... I usually go up in August or Sept. and play golf and goof off... It's a sleepy town so if you're looking for a party you better bring your own.. Fishing's great tho!...

Hey Stephant28, I'm not an X-Coloradian but I have been all over the country backpacking and skiing, Colorado being one of my favorite places to visit. I love it out there and whould have no propblem living in the middle of nowhere.
