I really wish I could just put an old fashioned : with ) and not have it turn into a stupid smiley face. Never understood graphic smileys or avatars. |

Figured out what you were talking about - but have to admit my first conscious thoughts upon reading the question were
Gremlins. A reference to unexplained problems in the electrical systems of WWII aircraft,
followed by
Gremlins. A dubious automotive product of American Motors (in metallic avocado green - the so-called "leisure suit on wheels").
So that's what those darned things are called!
Strongly agree with the sentiment that we ain't some boards -
maybe we should use tablature instead...

Location: Midland, MI | The AM Gremlin I remember most vividly was the 'Wrangler Jeans' model from the mid-70s. Complete wtih denim interior and faux yellow stitching on the outside.

I thought that the plane stopped before hitting the ground because it ran out of gas - it had an "A" Card (gas rationing during WWII).
