Location: Lake Hiawatha, New Jersey | Thanks for all of the kind words and well wishes. I appreciate it. The initial shock is beginning to wear off now. My wife and I are really excited. |

Location: Lake Hiawatha, New Jersey | Not likely! The guitars stay. I doubt that I will be buying any new ones for a while though. It's like I tell my two friends who are new dads, "your hobbies all cost money, but I make money with my guitars". Even the wife has a hard time arguing with that one. |

Location: Lake Hiawatha, New Jersey | John!!!!! How awesome for you! Many congrats to you and your wife! I wish you all the best! You guys MUST be thrilled! Wow! I'm really happy for you!
You're lucky, John. With all the guitars and gear I've bought over the years, time I've spent learning and rehearsing songs, and then time I've spent packing, lugging gear to and from gigs, and I don't think I'll EVER catch up to the point where I can say I MAKE money with music, as far as a profit is concerned. I'll be lucky, really, if Iever break even!
Cliff, as far as I know, there was a lake in Hiawatha many years ago. It was located in the lower side of town behind the Lake Hiawatha Country (swim) Club. The area is more or less just a marsh/woods area now. There was a photo circulating last year of people swimming off it's beach in the earlier 1900's (I think) when the lake was still a lake. Many of the homes in town are little bungalow style because it was a originally little lake/vacation community.
