Is the 1612 a Balladeer or a legend? According to ovation's archives its a custom balladeer. I've seen a few 1612s on ebay though, and they have an OPP and stripes on the neck. The archive picture of the 1612 has a regular undersaddle pickup and no stripes.
Anybody know what the story is with these? |

Location: Upper Left USA | 1612 is a Custom Balladeer with the Preamp package. It would depend on the Year of manufacture to call on the many changes made in construction. |

Location: SoCal | Woodrow's correct. Probably built in the late 70's to early 80's. After the switch to the blue label, after the switch (to save costs) to the 2 piece neck, but before the switch to newer preamp. |
