ttenn, ACL in September is a possibility, but no D/FW bookings at the moment.

Those of you in the "Swamps of Joisey" can catch her in a big guitar blowout this summer:

Will she be visiting the Northeast anytime soon? Nobody comes up here in the winter, which I totally understand, but it's really a nice part of the country in the summer...

Bruce, she was very pleased with the Japan tour. She played exclusively at Blue Note Jazz Clubs in six major cities. Headlining two shows an evening, she sold out every show (at $55 a ticket!). She thinks there will be another tour there in the fall.

Weaser, I Mapquested you and it appears to me that you certainly are in the "lake effect snow" area of NY state. You aren't that far from Montreal. This is only a rumor, but it wouldn't surprise me if she plays the Montreal Jazz Fest this summer:

I've been a camerabug all my life, and our vacation out West produced quite a few new digital images. One of my favorites is "Air Guitar in the Valley of the Gods":

Montreal is about five hours. Never had the pleasure and maybe it's time. And as far as lake effect snow goes, you're dead on. We average about 150 inches a year. Thank God for fireplaces, wine and guitars!

Weaser, would two hours be a little easier? She's just been booked to appear in Buffalo on June 18:

Ooo, we have a few friends in Buffalo (in fact the wife and daughter are there visiting as we speak)! Very do-able. And I've been meaning to hit that guitarfest for a couple of years now so I think that's just going to have to happen this year.

Thanks for the follow up!

Dave

Nice to hear that Kaki is booked EVERYWHERE, she certainly deserves it as she is a great talent.

How did your Southwest vacation go, did you get to enjoy any of our great and ancient beautiful landscapes? Our "Land of Enchantment" was designed by an ancient, super artistic, God of mountain and desert beauty, there for free if you look around. But, you have to look, because the ancient Gods are no longer here to point out the features to a child who sits in the back seat and says "Are we there yet?" Or, an adult who says, "Where are the souvenir shops?".

My wife told me I should tell anybody who asks about New Mexico that the best shopping is in Albuquerque's Old Town.

That is a GREAT picture, the Gods would be pleased.

In looking over Kaki's summer schedule, I found an interesting venue--the Ram's Head in Annapolis, Maryland.

Without a doubt, this venue has the best web site design for upcoming events that I've ever seen. It seems that everybody who is anybody-- DiMeola, Charlie Hunter, Tony Rice, Dick Dale--is booked to play there this summer. I particularly like the color photos of the artists accompanying their bios. Check it out at:

Almost forgot, Wemedge, Kaki makes her first Toronto appearance this summer at the Opera House in July.

Best to all--

Sometime in the last year or so I read something about Brian Auger but I can't remember what. It may have been a gig review or it may have been an obituary.

Julie Driscoll is still alive and kicking.

Aaaaah! Get ya.

Saw Brian Auger loads of times in the 70s - nothing to get excited about. Julie on the other hand...

Sorry....hit the wrong button. Dave the Ram's Head looks like a great venue. Is she coming any closer to Central WV? Annapolis is 6 or 7 hours away from me but it would make a nice weekend trip.
