Location: Capital District, NY, USA Minor Outlying Islands | I saw him in a bar Buffalo in about 1979! Holy crow that's a long time ago! I could just start drinking legally then. They were great, it was a real guitar player's concert. I still remember his sound. |

Location: Australia | Just saw him a couple of weeks ago and he was in fine form. Played all the classic Dire Straits and alot of his solo stuff.
Played all the classic axes too. The 59' Les Paul, Schecter Tele, National and the Knofler Sig Strat. |

Location: Earth·SolarSystem·LocalInterstellarCloud·Local Bub | Not only is MK a fanatasic player, (and as recognized for his talent as he is, he STILL doesn't get credit for inventing a completely new sound. The Dire Straits debut album sounded like nothing else before it, but after, alots of folks tried to sound like him. And he's only getting better)
...But also, a first rate songwriter. Among all the stellar tunes he's written, "Telegraph Road" is a masterful and unique artistic achievement in composition and muscianship. 14 minutes of bliss. Pure Bliss. |

Location: Hyattsville, MD | I think every song on Shagri La is fantastic, as expected. I love Everybody Pays especially. Everything is so scaled down yet so effective. Toss-up for me between Shangri La and Ragpicker's Dream as to which is my favorite, though. |

If you were punk, it was black and torn, and you wore a well used denim jacket --- like Johny Ramone. Actually, if you see the kids at CBGB the uniform hasn't changed much. |
