Hello all,
Was curious about the '05 tour. I'd like to register myself and two friends. I took the tour in '03 - some of you might remember me as the guy who had the nerve to bring along his GIBSON bass.
It turned out to be a good thing, though when it came time to jam. 40 acoustic guitarists and me.
I used to work with Cliff and he turned me on to the club.
I heard the tour was June 17th, but I can't seem to navigate to any info here.

". . the guy who had the nerve to bring along his GIBSON bass...."

Well . . . a comment like THAT'S sure t'get you a quick & friendly response! . . . nice way t'make friends and influence people . . .

Miles DID have something in the "Announcements" Section, but it's gone now (the "Gibson" comment must've activated the automatic "cloaking" software).

Perhaps Miles'll re-post it . . .

Go Sawks!
(yea, right.)

"I used to work with Cliff ...."

Welcome, and my condolences on the above. I hope the therapy sessions since then are going well. But, I'm sure you don't mean to imply that Cliff actually works...you must mean that you were EMPLOYED at the same place. Between all the time he spends on this board, and all the time he spends on tinkering in photoshop creating incriminating Llama photos, he clearly has no time to work.

(DOH!)

Anyway, I remember you...and it will be great to see you again at this year's tour!

Be well,
Johnny

Actually, Mike (KarmannG) and I had pretty much the same job (and lived in distinctly similar Parallel Universe's) only I did it in NY he did it in Bahston.
Back then, I pretty much spent most of MY time pulling HIS ass out of the fire . . . .

;)

Cliff was my loyal and humble servant while we worked in what was indeed a paralell universe.
We became friends over the phone and while he did manage to pull me from fire, I remember on at least one occasion, that fire was ignited by him.
Anyway, in the fine tradition of him finding anything under the sun for me, it will now be his task to arrange to have an Ovation Bass for me to play at the June Jam.
I'm bringing the Gibson anyway - but I must add he has never let me down - and I know you all love him.

I never meant to mean "servant" as being an underling or anything less than someone who simply provided me with great service.
Sorry, Cliff.
Hope to see you at the tour-how do I register?

Cliff I think that should be left to the Llama court to decide.

That would't be fair. Once the Llama Judge here's about the Gibson Bass, it'll be a Kangaroo Court.

Oh, well.
Maybe next year.

The bass isn't a problem, you want an electric one or acoustic, with or without frets?

Did they ever make a fretless MagnumII?

I always loved these (since they first came out), and swore to myself that one day I'd get one.

There's a small Mom/Pop shop by me that's got a real nice mahagony MagII . . . we're just havin' a hard time seein' eye-to-eye on the price.
