Location: Scotland | The Fishman has 4 band EQ plus a notch (the Baggs is 3 plus a notch) & has onboard compression. The extra eq band is undoubtedly useful, but as someone who considers himself a compressor connoisseur I'd have my doubts about the capabilities of a built in compressor at this price, give the sophistication of the rest of the unit. The Baggs has been around a long time & consequently is starting to look a little tired, but it's been around so long because it's a first rate piece of kit, and while it doesn't have the bells & whistles of the Fishman, it does what it's supposed to do exceptionaly well. |
