Location: Scotland | As far as I'm aware Ovation have never produced an Octave Mandolin or a Mandola. They do however produce a mandocello, which has a considerably longer scale length (usually around 25") and is tuned 1 octave below tenor mandola. a Mandola has a scale length of around 17 inches and an octave mandolin, tuned 1 octave below mandolin has a scale length of around 22 inches, sometimes a little more. |
