Location: Waxahachie, Tx | Hope I don't break any rules making this request but i'm stuck, Since I really have no clue as how to tab out a song, but I have tried to Wright down the chords but no luck, can anyone point me in the right direction, where I might find info, the sheet music or even the chords for the song "Borderline" on the Allison Krauss and Union Station Lonely runs both Ways album.
Some of the Tab sites list a song called "on the borderline" but that is not the same tune. :D

Location: Waxahachie, Tx | Mwoody, Xnoel, thanks for the taking the time, but, the Joni Mitchell song is not the same, I had found that one thinking it was the one also, I guess I need to find out who wrote the song, I e-mailed one sheet music web page but have gotten no response. I have a program called Sibellius that links to pages that sell sheet music and they don't show it to be available. I'll just keep lookin.

Location: Canton (Detroit), MI | Mike, why NOT tab it yourself? Take the CD, play it again and again, and use your 5th (A) string to find the corresponding tones for the chords. Hum the HARMONY (not melody) as the song plays, and find the corresponding note.
I've done this with reasonable success, especially on country songs. They are often "three chords and the truth". When you find the notes that correspond to the harmony, just use the chords(i.e., if you find that C, F and G notes correspond to the hummed harmony, use the C, F and G chords to play it).
It usually does take many plays to get it, so don't be discouraged.
In fact, I have a game I play sometimes when watching a Grand Old Opry telecast....I'll do this and figure the song out while they're playing it (OK, I do cheat and watch their hands sometimes, but only after I think I've figured it out).

Location: Canton (Detroit), MI | Mike, I dug out my copy of "Lonely Goes Both Ways" and checked the song "Borderline" very quickly. It is in the key of D and the chords in the song are D, G and A. I didn't want to put the time into doing a full tab right now, but if you mix and match those chords to the song, I think you'll have it. The chorus starts in G and goes to D.....

Location: Waxahachie, Tx | T28, cliff, thanks, Old Applause Owner thanks for the motivation and the head start, I've already started trying to chord it. And when I sit down and use just the A string to determine what notes I hear I'm writing them down I almost think I could make this more complicated than it needs to be. After listening to it and using the info you gave this is a very simple song like you said, maybe only 3-4 chords
