A new plant, wherever it is, is obviously going to get loaded with the latest and greatest state-of-the-art gear, tools, machinery for manufacturing. The cost of replacement vs the cost of just having someone else do the work, on newer, more accurate, machines is a serious consideration. | ||

Joined: May 2003 Posts: 4389 Location: Capital District, NY, USA Minor Outlying Islands | I just read about chrysler, and how daimler, basically, did two things, one, they tried to make cars for the european market and sell them here (which of course failed because they were too early) and then looted the company of all its design talent and took it home to Germany. Now these nimnog investment bankers bought it and don't have a clue. At least Fender is a guitar company. It makes you wonder what's happening at Guitar Center, being owned by inverstment bankers. | ||
