Sooooo much happened I figured that it might be a good idea to to try and keep some organization in how the information is passed on.
This thread is about the fun stuff.

In a effort to follow my own guidelines, I have moved the information below here from another thread.

Regarding the Ovation that was damaged at the jam

I pulled up to the security station going into Canada.
Security: "citizenship?.... okay..Where are you guys coming from?"
Slipkid: "A guitar convention in New Hartford"
Security: looks into window .... "All those guitars yours?"
Slipkid: "ahhhh, yes sir."
Security: "Would you please roll down your window so I can take a look?"

BrianT starts to sweat about the illegal fireworks hidden in the back

Security: "What's the story with the damaged guitar?"
Slipkid: "Well..ahhh...thats a long story. It was part of a .... something kind of unexpected happened and... well ahhhh..."
Security: "Product durability testing?
Slipkid: "Yeah...that's right."
Security: "Okay...go ahead."
........................
If I had to tell the story it would have had to include the llamas and we would probably still be explaining ourselves.

More about the damaged guitar later.

I guess nobody is awake yet so I'll go on....
1) About and hour before the friday jam was done I blew a lung. My voice was gone...done.

2) When we got back to the hotel after the ski lodge jam there were was about 8 boxes of pizza on the serving table in the lobby. A few OFCers (who will remain un-named) figured they just had to be for the OFC. Well...lets just say that the group of soccer kids staying there had a few less slices to chew on.

3) Paul Templeman's language is not as salty as you might think. In my book "fooking" does not sound anything like that other word.

4) There is nothing wrong with making one or two wrong turns when driving between the hotel and the factory. It builds character.

5) In observing Cliff, Al, and Paul Templeman perform at the jam I want to make a wish that I had Cliff's stage presence, Mr. Templeman's ability and knowledge, and Al's laid back sense of cool.

Not at the right computer now - tomorrow I'll post the photot of the foot that made that hole... and tell the story if the third in the conspiracy (that would be moody) else has.

Brad, just so you know, I offered to pay for the piece of pizza I stole err...I mean, mistakenly took....and they said it was their fault and let me have it. :) I don't know that making wrong turns builds character though, it just makes you feel better to say it does. :)

Actually, the game that most of you missed out on was "Stump The Temp".

Awww man!! Your putting me on the spot here. I am awful with names.
Of course BrianT was my co-pilot.
The guy with the distinguishing grey beard is Norm.
And for the life of me I can't remember. In my memory they have become just voices in my head questioning my sense of direction and choice of turns. And something else about broccoree. Come on guys. Chime in.
By the way...Let me tell you a little about Mr. Abendicum. He has a fantastic 12 string guitar that he plays very well. Well...not really a 12 string because he only uses four strings ....oops,I mean eight. Oh...and it's tuned like a banjo.
Willingheart Lisa...Now I find out that you took part in that unfortunate incident?? I'm shocked. You know...every time I looked you were playing a different guitar.

Hizz, I'll just copy&paste from page 5 of "exclusive factory tour pics":

Actually it was quite funny. He (Kim Keller) had this Celeb he rescued from the dustbin with it's bridge lifting. He took it out at dinner and proceeded to drag it around by the headstock, 'accidently' drop it, throw it to various people, and generally abuse it while seeming oblivious to the looks he was getting. Finally he used it for kicking practice, with Moody taking the first shot. Unfortunately, he was wearing tenners and only succeeded in causing the top to begin separating from the body. It was Master Paul Templeman's mighty boot which pierced the body just below the bridge.
Brad (slipkid) decided to take the poor thing home for a decent burial. (actually he just wanted the preamp - op40 I believe.)
All in all it was good fun!

I took that smashed guitar home. I'm having a blast with it. BrianT's wife came out when I was unloading his luggage. I said I had something special to show her, then I pretended to trip and drop the guitar on the sidewalk. I have shocked the bejezzus out of my wife and all 3 kids.
I'm a baaaaaad boy.

Brad,
You missed the opportunity to pull another fast one. Should have told your wife that the guitar was the new trekker that you just bought from Al and that you wanted to see how good the factory warranty was   :D :p

I did not want to get into a long story but that is kinda what I did with my wife. I put it in the trekker box and showed her my "new" guitar and acted shocked. I thought it was funny. She did also...but not quite as much.

If I was thinking, I would have found a magic marker and had everyone on the tour sign the smashed guitar.

We tried to find a marker. The sound guy had one, but it was already packed. We wanted to write "You shoulda' been here" on it.

Brad,
I'm sorry I missed the whole event. I was busy packing all my photo and video gear. Believe it or not I actually had a sharpie marker in my bag of tricks. Maybe next year Kim will have a Tear Drop Adamas reject that someone will get their foot stuck in :D . Glad that you and Brian may it home safely. I am also happy to have met both of you. Can't wait till next year.

I didn't take the booted guitar to salvage parts. I thought it would make a nice keepsake (since I did not win the Adamas) and nobody seemed to be interested in taking it. And I had just posted a few day before that the only thing missing from my collection was a multi-hole. I just did not want to see it end up in a garbage can. Kim Keller's little prank sure got me. Maybe I'll bring it to the next tour.
