Ok I need some help from all you experts out there. Can you tell me what Ovation Kenny Loggins is using in this video? (these guys look so young!) It is a nice mix with Kenny having the classical strings and Jimmy with steel.

They're great if you're playing plugged-in.

If you primarily play acoustic . . . y'can do better . . .

Moody got himself a nice custom-order nylon O from the Factory.

JeffW's got a REALLY nice Hirade (that's for sale).

Y'can't go wrong with the Tak nylons . . .

Clifford's right on this. I love O's, love the neck and overall feel on my 1773LX, but if you're going for killer acoustic sound, there are better choices. Heck, Yamaha makes some great nylon strings for a reasonable price....

1773LX.
(I couldn't remember the model).

That doesn't have a Classical neck, does it?
Or is it more like a CountryArtist??

Yikes! $1900 for the 1773 is way out of my price range.

1613 is 2 inch nut width?

1773LX has 1-7/8 flat fingerboard.

The Takamine nylons are awesome, especially with the tube preamp. And quite reasonable.

1613 is a 2 inch nut with a flat neck. I like the sound of the 1713. It's more full than most nylon classicals I've played.

TC132SC - 2" nut, 12 fret, cedar top, rosewood b/s, cutaway, cooltube

TC135SC - 1-7/8" nut, 14 fret, spruce top, rosewood b/s, cutaway, cooltube

I've got the 132 model. The 135 is sorta Taks version of a Country Artist. Both are really nice instruments. The 132 is a very popular model and you can find them used on ebay for 5-6 hundred.

You mentioned the oval soundhole twice, but failed to mention that it's a cutaway.

I'm playing the CocktailHour at Jeanette's office XmasParty t'night. I was gonna' take the Hirade, but loaded-in the 1613 at the last minute.

I think that Jeanette's deluded herself into thinking that if I'm singing/playing during the CocktailHour, I'll stay out of trouble . . .
