I have also found .012 .054 sound the best as far as gauges go I dont know what the factory puts on it stock thanks

Even though I really like the sound of my new Elite T with the EXP16s, I will probably stick with the GHS strings on the rest of my guitars. They sound absolutely great on my Ovations, as well as on my Gibson. The way I would describe their sound is bright and articulate. They also seem to keep their sound the longest. I would also recommend their "Fast Fret" string/fretboard cleaner as well. Joe

Right now, I think, they're having a special offer on them by "taking the EXP challenge." If you like them, D'addario will send you a free set of the exact one you just purchased, or refund your money if you're unsatisfied with it. I look at it as simply having two sets for the price of one, and was quite happy when I received my extra set in the mail within a week after I made my purchase. I think the offer goes up until the end of December of this year. There was a previous post about this thread ... that's how I responded to it, but somehow I can't seem to remember or find it ... :( Otherwise I settle for the cheaper, but just as effective Martin SP phosphor bronze strings. Unfortunately, the M strings don't last as long though.
