My son gave me a set of Martin's for my ancient wooden acoustic and they sound great acoustically. I don't have a pickup on it, so I don't know how they would sound electrically, but acoustically they have held out quite well.

I knew that about Adamas strings, which was why I included them in my post. I figured since this is the "Ovation Fan Club," I'd give the home boys a plug. ;) You're right, they really ARE the exact same strings. I've used both with identical results in tone and longevity.
