Well I finally picked it up. The fading light does not do it justice... it is gorgeous! Hopefully I can make the 2006 factory tour, I owe several artisans copious amounts of beer...

mmm shiny abalone purfling.... mmmm Have to go somewhere and giggle now... cheers all.

Between that and the EA68LTD on fleaBay, I'm starting to crave baloney. Nice!

Beautiful. I think Ovation does some of the nicest sunburst in the business. Dave

Ovation does a great job on their bursts, but I still prefer the -4s. :) Now, Hamer, OTOH, *their* burst (speshly the 59burst on my Studio FM) are right up there, too. :p

I didn't know for sure if I'd like the purfling, but once I saw it in person, I was "a-blone" away...hehehe... bad pun, even Jerry Lewis would turn his nose up at that one...

anyways - back to giddy left fingers too sore to type... eeeeekkk

Very nice looking! I like that sunburst much, much better that the cherry burst, or the new england burst, a little too orange. Your burst is a little more like a tobacco burst which I just love. You have good taste; very cool guitar.
PS!!!! Be careful, I see you have the cace upright for the pic, you do not want that beauty to fall on it's face.

Yes... I was very cautious with the lean of the case to prevent destruction... and it's actually a shallow body C868lx (excellent eye ttenn)...

Conrats...that's one stunning guitar. I, too, love the burst color!

Enjoy!

At first I thought the NEB was too orange as well, but now I love it.
