Then I had to get my normal 1.5 hour commute out of the city - just in time to catch my son's hockey game (yes - the Rep season has started already). So - 10pm I finally drag my ass in the house and down the basement, and lo and behold what do I see - but a wonderfully wrapped box from my good friend Alpep! I ripped it open with glee (even better then Christmas) and there was my lovely new Adamas I Re-issue and what a beauty it is. I've never played an Adamas before this and what a treat. I must say - plugged and unplugged - WOW. I haven't had much time to work it in - (something about keeping the neighbours and the kids up too late - go figure). Getting time to play before the weekend is going to be tough - but maybe we'll get a snow day or something like that? It is simply beautiful, it sits on my lap like it's been there for years, the action is perfect and the sound is full and rich - damn!! My wife said something strange last night - I think it was "So, that's the last one eh?". I wonder what that meant? Dano

And if she doesn't happen to like the spot in my office where I put it - well, it's my office isn't it? I happen to think the that pretty blue one looks good beside the cherry colored one and the spruce one. My youngest thought it was pretty - but up close she said that it looked like it was wall papered... We're gonna miss her!!

My summer moratorium is almost over, the cabin remodel is almost done and we won't have to right another tuition check until December, so it's time to work on getting that 1537.

That's exactly what my wife said some years ago... And she also said: "Tu choisis entre tes guitares et moi..." (you have to choose between me and your guitars...) I've made my choice!!! :D  ;)

Hmm, is there a conspiracy afloat - are the women in my house trying to fool me into thinking that I don't have a choice, that I don't have free will, and that I can't have the remote control - but I do own the hammer and screwdriver set... I've waited along time and worked up to my Adamas from my first Elite 10 years ago. Been a great journey so far.

The rush you felt opening your delivery and the "wow" on your face... I'm smiling for you. Come to think of it... This is what makes the OFC work for me. I enjoy knowing others have had the same "rush". You can only live it. Enjoy! Woz

Underwear isn't expensive enough for a zinger of an analogy, but I bought her a 25th anniversary necklace for the same price she could have bought me the 25 year old Legend. I've never let her forget that one.

My wife enjoys the fact that I gain such great pleasure from simply opening a brown box and discovering the joy inside. Knowing that I'm happy is all she wants in life. My contentment is her contentment. My happiness..... well - you get the picture. oops - gotta run, apparently it's time for my meds...
