Location: GA USA | Things are gonna start happening to me now! Actually I got a package at the office from Lost Art. I'm assuming it's my new S771 Teardrop Burst, now a special order finish. I ordered it from Al on July 7, and he told me that with Ovation vacations, it could take up to 4 months. I could have used it last night at church, where I led worship all by my lonesome with my 30 year old Yamaha. The good news is that I am playing again Wednesday and LOOK OUT! I thought I might work a little late tonight, but now... forget it. Thanks, Al!
By the way, I was looking at the Ovation site... Ovation sells a logo CD case, but not a guitar strap?
Pix asap.
Edited: I'm home, and it's beautiful. The satin finish gives the burst a warm look. Definitely worth the extra thousand bucks. |

Location: GA USA | Thanks, guys. This is my first acoustic Ovation, and I feel the pull. I remember saying, around the first of the summer, that as soon as I got the funds, I was gonna pull the trigger. Then BOOM! I got a great cartooning job that put me over the top.
Today I walked in with it and Mrs. Lovehandles said "Great, now we have to pay for it." I distinctly remember giving her the full amount in green cash money, plus another couple hundred to keep her from complaining. (She was referring to the fact that Al only bills half up front, and the other half hasn't shown up on the card).
Anyway, I'm happy. Maybe the same trick will work again... when I get the funds, I'm going for a viper electric. Must be burst, maple... |
