I just bought one of the very first Adamas II models, #1681-2. Does this thing have a 9-volt battery in it like my old Balladeer does? If so, do you have to remove the outside knobs and pull the black boxes in the guitar body to get to the battery? My Balladeer just has a simple clip holding the battery. The Adamas is not that obvious. Thanks for any help you can give. A-Fan.

You can get to the battery by removing the cover on the bowl. Turn the guitar over and look at the bowl. You will see a round cover with a gold screw in the middle. Loosen the screw and remove the cover. This will allow access to the battery.

Also, when you put the rear access cover back on, don't tighten the screw to much. If you do, the screw will sink into the cover material.
