Joined: June 2004 Posts: 580 Location: NW NJ | I had Kim & company put an OP-Pro into my 1778T (replaced the OP-30 with the OP-Pro). I think that replacement job ran about $150 (+/-). WELL worth the money imho. | ||

Joined: June 2004 Posts: 580 Location: NW NJ | Yeah, they replaced the preamp with the Pro (drop-in), but they also changed the thinline pickup to the Original Patented Pickup which required re-routing the bridge to accept the wider saddle. A real nice upgrade for the 1778T. Much smoother, and much less "quacky" sound out of the piezo. I gotta believe that the route job for the different shaped can for Big Money shouldn't be much more that $50 (+/-). Of course, actually I'm just plain ignorant. Who am I to say what it would cost. Only the mothership knows for sure ... | ||

Joined: December 2004 Posts: 1116 Location: Keller, TX | Not only did they have to rout the hole for the new can, they had to glass up the old holes for the two knobber. I also got the XLR so the didn't have to patch the output holes from the orig stereo setup. | ||
