Somewhere along the past few weeks my beloved angel step has developed a hatred for the tonal frequency of a "B" note. Mostly on the 7th fret low e and on up the neck (especially on the g,b and e strings). My luthier is out of town for the next few weeks and heres what i've done to try and remedy it thus far:
1.Checked all the obvious wiring and battery for for anything loose.
2. Narrowed it down to where it sounds like its coming from the top of the bridge..if thats possible??
3.Changed strings, checked to make sure all were seated properly.
The action is low but still high enough for string clearance off the bridge itself so theres no hangup there. The fact that its really pronounced on just that one note is unsettling...
Any ideas are greatly appreciated!! In the meantime I guess it'll be "Flight of the Bumble-C,
or perhaps A :(

Did you pull up the saddle and tinker with the pick up etc. when you changed the strings?

Sometimes I would hear voices.

Now I just hear Screaming!

So now when I hear buzzzin it does not bother me.
Hope this helps?

Keep lookin you'll find it. does your guitar have the fretboard that extends over the sound board? a new piece of felt may help? this helped my 12 string.
My 6 is having the same phenomenon as yours has right now?? I can't find it either. I have tried a few times to ferret this buz out. These are tough to find.

Please let us know if you find it.

Even though it sounds like it's coming from the bridge, check the nuts and washers on your peghead that hold the tuners in. If one of the nuts is slightly loose the washer will buzz, this is a really common problem.

well well well..... :rolleyes: {Doh!}
After going over the entire guitar again after reading some of these suggestions and still coming up short, I went ahead and tightened the nuts on the posts that hold the actual bridge down.I was able to turn them about a 1/2 turn each and now no more buzzing!! The reason I didnt try this before is because I honestly thought once they were tight and set into the wood that was it.The other reason was that with me and my neanderthal ways I might have tightened too much and possibly split the back or maybe even cracked the top :eek: . Cant believe it was only that. Is that common on bolt on bridges??

Cool I will try this myself!

When I play the screaming goes away!
