The pic's not all that great. I tweaked the B&C and enhanced it a bit in PhotoShop and resized it to make it "postable". I've received several e-mail requests for a hi-res file. Sorry, but (for now) this will have to suffice. "First Dibs" on the hi-res files will have to go to Messrs. Pepiak & Kummer for their respective future publications. Darren in Engineering entrusted Al and myself each a copy of this for possible enhancement. I'm researching having having a wide-format scan made (it's a "D"-size drawing) and digitally enhancing it. If that doesn't garner anything acceptable, I may just throw a piece of vellum over it and re-ink a new one by hand. Sorry, but for now, the PeckingOrder is gonna have to be Darren, Al and Timm . . . but once they've gotten what they need and give the "go ahead", I'm sure we can make this into something really cool . . . * * Stay Tuned to your local OFC-afiliate for further developments as they happen * *

One of the things they'll be demo-ing/hawking will be . . . . WideFormat Scanners!!! I explained to the guy that I had a little personal "pet" project, and what I'd like to accomplish, and he said "Sure! . . . bring it on DOWN!!" Basically, what I think he'll be able to do (gratis . . or somewhat CLOSE to it) is scan the best possible copy of this print I can get into a HUGE .tif file onto a CD that I'll be able to clean/tweak in Pshop. . . Ultimately, what I would've LIKED to have had done was have it scanned into an AutoCAD file, but they'd have to send it out, and it'd cost some $$. He said he MAY be able to determine "how much" when I bring it down for the initial scanning. If it's not exhorbitant, I may have 'im do it . . . I've been able to make some 1:1 size copies here, tweaking the darkness/contrast with "limited" success, but any/all changes are wholesale ones made throughout the image . . . being able to do specific tasks to specific areas at a time, should yield better results. Will apprize you of updates as they become available. This is kinda' like working on the Adamas equivalent of the Shroud of Turin . . . ;)

I used to do tech illustration at Lockheed Martin (on a drawing board no less!), and this would be more fun to do that most of the tanks, and missiles I used to draw! Let me know. Steve
