I'm the one who's friend's son hocked my Ovation Legend and replaced it with a lower end one. I've just purchased a 1717 Legend that's supposed to be "like new" to replace the replacement, and I'd like to make sure I'm not overcharging them for what I paid for it. I though I saw in here someplace where there's a site that for a small fee you can determine what a fair market value is...did I dream this or what?

No, you weren't dreaming...

It's Orion Blue Book.

Thanks, that helped alot. I got it for a fair price, although nothing will replace my first love, they're getting a good deal.

That's great. A 1717 Legend is a fair replacement.

Got a replacement for my hocked Legend, it's a pretty thing. 1717 Red Starburst Legend with case and shipping for $455.00. Haven't taken the bill to the kid's parents, so they may not be nearly as pleased as me! Thanks for everyone's help and advice.

If they complain about the REASONABLE cost, I'd remind them that the guitar their wonderful son hocked was worth MORE. They are not in a position to be complaining.....
