I was looking for a 1778T and Al suggested this one. Thanks to Al for a great heads-up on a great guitar. I will post pics tomorrow. It is a beauty with some great silking on the top. Everyone that comes into the Living Room Club comments on it's appearance, and I still can't get over how resonant it is...especially playing a D anywhere on the neck (the note, not the chord), must be 'the' frequency for this particular guitar. I think I'm going to have to buy something else from you, Al, just to see if you can top it. ;)

Al surely has a knack for obtaining exemplary guitars (the Susie bass with the knockout planet inlays, for instance).

A friend of mine is love with the one I got from Al - but I am not even remotely tempted to sell or trade this beauty. Should I suggest the Elite T? Thanks, Jon Van Gilder Freeport, IL P.S. Check out the photos if you haven't already. It's a killer.

Anyway, I don't think you saw my guitars in the gallery. Think, however, is the operative word. Maybe you did, and I just can't remember. If you want to see the Elite S - here is the link: It's a great guitar, and thanks again to Al. http://www.msnusers.com/vangilderfamily/shoebox.msnw Regards, Jon Van Gilder Freeport, IL

How about that Adamas 1881-2 I noticed in your gallery:-) It's terrible to get gas for that which has passed - passed gas, I guess. Sincerely, Jon Van Gilder

If the offer still stands in 3-4 months, maybe we can talk some more. The 1881-2 is an awesome guitar that I hate to get rid of, but since I rarely play acoustic plugged in, I decided it would be on the "to go" list.

I will probably use the Raven for a kind of laid back gig coming up in December- nice Italian restaurant called, Cannovas. Two guitars and a young girl singer (she's kind of a cross between Norah Jones & Alison Krauss). Probably throw in a couple of jazzy Christmas instrumentals which is where the Raven will come in. Otherwise, I will be using the Elite S for everything else and running it through an old Trace. Regards, Jon Van Gilder Freeport, IL
