Take this test to see if you are a hippy:
Hippy Test

I scored 151... I am the establishment.

Who will be the biggest hippy of us all?

I guess it was because I was married with 1 child during this period of time. :)

My son has long hair does that count?

That was a fun test. :D

Does the highest score get a new Ovation? :D :D

58. (Though I don't fully understand the "scoring").
I suspect that having total distain for ANYTHING remotely "GratefulDead" was a definite factor . . .
So be it.

23 ("some hippy"). Yet one more confirmation that I could very well be the most confused individual on the planet.

S'all right Weaser, most guys go through that "wearing mother's clothes" stage. In some it just lasts longer....

Wow - 45. And I was a Dead Head and stoned for a decade. I had a van, it just wasn't a VW. But I've never been so stoned that I figured a bunch of beads would save my ass from anything, that some fat, rich Indian geezer could save my ass from anything or that the Beatles were anything more than average. I think the questions were slanted in favour of failed pot-makers and weavers. Where were the questions for failed guitar players? And who is/was Ronald Reagan? I demand a recount. I didn't spend all those years with pockets full of wacky-baccy, a Captain Beefheart album permanently under my arm (that way I didn't have to play it) and an aversion to soap so some teenage american with nothing better to do can insult me on the web.

Apart from that I have no views on this.

Schroeder,
I had you pegged as a Mod, you know, Austin Powers and such.

There weren't a lot of sharp-suited Richard Thompson fans even in the 60s and 70s. In fact I think they are mutually exclusive.

Schroeder's not a mod. Or a rocker. He's a mocker.

I scored a 12. It would have been considerably different if I had taken this test 25 years ago...

-120. I am the establishment. Guess that's why I'm so conflicted about fighting the man and not trusting anyone over 30.

I've gotten to the age where I don't trust anyone under 30.
Once I was surrounded by old people, who knew everything and lots and lots of stories. Now, well, everybody I know seems to be about my age, and doesn't seem to know any more than I do.

I agree with Waskel about the under 30 thing, I scored -128. Guess I didn't take enough drugs back then, although it seemed like it at the time.........

8 for me. I think the only thing that saved me was I still own a few pairs of Birkenstocks. I couldn't afford them if they were around in the 60s. My daughter would have passed this with flying colors. She thinks she's radical, but she's just 40 years too late.

209, makes me anti-hippy.
But, I was married in 63 and started a family the next year. Had to work two jobs, not much time for other stuff.
One thing I learned from the 60's; choose your "war's" very carefully. I now believe the protesters were right, we should not have been in Vietnam, but I sure respect the ones who went and fought.
But, there are other wars too, I remember long hair vs short hair, how silly. I've always been a short hair guy, but if another man wants to wear his long, that is his business not mine and I will not judge his worth by the length of his hair.
That's enough from me on this.

Hey Woody & xnoel,

Don't fret, guys. I scored 172! I guess that means Genghis Khan would be considered a hippy before any of us!
