I was just saying it would be nice to see some pics of you playing Ukulele on his website....

...wearing a... traditional Ukulele uniform

Stay tuned for halloween. I've already got the costume ready. It'll be a fine line between being a great costume, or possibly ending up in jail for exposing myself to 6 year olds. Dave

I had some quick thoughts on his message as well, Dave, and thought I would translate for the non-French among us. I posted them and then almost immediately decided it may have been slightly off in the translation so I deleted it.

Could have been one of the better decisions I've made all year.

If anyone has a copy... Or know's how to get one. I'd love to frame it.

Thanks for all your messages.

Stephen and Glenn, I will download the pics in your respectives galleries next WE. Thanks one more time. :)

Jeff, Your French is really good. If you have a picture of Dave playing Ukulele like you've described him, please, send it to me!!! :D And don't forget the monkey...
I'm sure it will be a great addition to the site... and the end of Dave's reputation. :D

Moody, I know that you don't forget. :)
You're surely very busy like everyone and just like me. It's not urgent. I wish that the site will be there for a long time.

Woz, if you don't find a copy of this ad, I'll be glad to send you a scan in high rez for printing. Don't hesitate to ask.

I've got another special thank to CWK2.
I'll remember your kindness all my life. :)

J :)

Jerome,
I don't think a picture of Dave playing ukelele with a monkey will end his reputation. Nor will playing a monkey with a ukelele.

Jeff, your french sucks. Jerome couldn't even understand you were describing a picture of Dave on a leash eating peanuts while the monkey played the uke.

First of all, he's not just a "monkey". He's a Chimpanze. Within the primate world the term "monkey" is very derogatory. The Chimps call it "dropping the M-bomb". Secondly, he doesn't just play any old uke. He plays a Kamaka gold label soprano with Grover tuners and Aquila strings. And he tunes it himself ... by ear. Dave

I'm very sorry.
I had no idea I was inferring a racial (or maybe 'species-specific') slur. A Kamaka gold label soprano uke (with Grover tuners and Aquila strings, you say!) is certainly a finer instrument than I would have expected to find a mon... errr, chimpanze playing, much less tuning by ear. Then again, they do have large ears, don't they?

Perhaps you could convey my humblest apologies to the aforementioned mon... ah,ha... chimpanze, and the advice that he may want to consider adding some bananas to your diet, as well.

Good work, Stephen.
Looks like an old blues player I used to know. "Blind Monkey Witco". We used to call him "BMW".
I thought he was dead. Certainly looks like I was right.

Jerome;

Your fabulous site is a great augmentation to this one...you have all of that great resource material that we would have liked to have had on this site but it takes a lot of time.

Obviously, you have put hours and hours of work into your site and for this, I would like to say, Merci!

GREAT SITE!!!

I haven't spent as much time there as I would like, but what I've seen is masterful.

I even understood the French parts, (I was reminded that I took some French classes in junior high "la plume de ma tante", etc) so you have achieved a milestone in international communications.

As a Viper owner, I confess my first visit was to the solid body section. Including a few non Ovation significant guitars is also a nice touch,

LOVED IT.

Makes me want to put humbuckers on my Viper.

Never will happen, cause they wont fit and that's it!!!
