Location: North Carolina | Will be opening for former US Fingerstyle Champ Pat Kirtley at, of all things, a Taylor Clinic as part of the Art of Sound Festival in Shelby, NC this Saturday (10/22). I can't wait to see the looks on their faces when I pull my "plaistic geetar" out of the case. :D :D
BTW, the festival will have a lot of great and varied music (blues, jazz, country, etc.) all day Sat. and may be worth it for those of you in western NC/SC to check it out. The festival is well run and its easy to get from one venue to another. Here is a link to the list of performers:

Location: North Carolina | Tony is right. That is a picture of a big ugly hairy male holding a 2003 CE778. Speaking of Tony, I will be debuting my 2002 CL6759-12 string at this performance that I got a few months ago from the man himself. I haven't had much time to write for it but I do have 3 songs so far. Hopefully, more to come! I can see why people play 6-strings other than O's but I have a hard time understanding why anyone would play a 12 other than an O (or A). Their bell-like clarity is made for the 12-string sound. Truly a beautiful instrument. Thanks again, Tony.

Location: Maryland, USA | I have a hard time understanding why anyone would play a 12 other than an O (or A) I think the same for my Alvarez. For $260 this instrument sounds like a high quality instrument, and owning many high quality instruments I know what one sounds like ^_^.
I've never played a 12 string O, I wanna try one out one of these days. |

The tunes on your site are Awesome. I hope you don't mind, but I passed along site info to The 2 stations in our building that feature Instrumental music programs. So far they've featured some tunes by Sergio Lara and also
fingerstylist Eltjo Haselhoff,along with some great smooth Jazz instrumentals too. it's great to hear some great guitar music on the air again. |

Location: the BIG Metropolis of TR | My wife and I went and saw Franklin's performance at Shelby Music Center on saturday and we were delightlfully entertained. His talent and stage present is awesome! (I tried hard to see his other two hands but he was just to fast!! :D )
Franklin is Extremely Talented and Very Professional!! The act he opened for although he maybe talented was a complete and total A-HOLE!(A-HOLE=Pat Kirtley)
Franklin was scheduled to open the show at 2:00p.m. and play til 2:45 then A-HOLE was to go on at 3 - 5
Franklin arrived and did his setup/soundcheck etc. and was done around noon/noon thirty about the time my wife and I met him and talked awhile. (A-HOLE was there also but was in the back "playing star")
2:00 showtime rolls around and A-HOLE goes up on stage and STARTS to uncase his (3) Taylor guitars and STARTS his setup/soundcheck/tweeking/fumbling/noodling/adjusting/re-adjusting/re-re-adjusting/tuning/re-tuning/barking commands to the soundman/etc. on ALL 3 of his guitars for :45 MINS. plus -Franklin's allotted time!(my wife even made the comment...."Do Taylor guitars really need ALL THAT tuning/fumbling to sound good?") This unprofessional A-HOLE star wannabe I guess tried to waste Franklin's time in hopes that Franklin would get pissed off and leave, that way no one would get to hear Franklin and his beautiful Elite Ovation.......Didn't work though, Franklin finally took the stage about 2:55 and "Rocked Da House" till about 3:25 and then had to "rush" and get his gear off stage(for A-HOLE)and to hurriedly get to his other gig at Frame Masters from 4 - 4:45
Although Franklin was upset at A-HOLE for that "stunt" he remained cool and restrained(read-PROFESSIONAL) I'da gone "redneck" on A-HOLE after about 5-10 mins.
Franklin put on a great show and my wife and I were happy to met him and his family!

Location: the BIG Metropolis of TR | Yeah, It did look pretty cool when I 1st got there and saw that Ovation sitting proudly and boldly on it's stand in the mist of all dem Taylors! I didn't have my camera with me until we returned a 2:00 for the show and by then A-HOLE was in the way :rolleyes: (I only got 3 pics of Franklin before the batteries died.... :mad: :( )
