Location: Orlando, FL | First let me say, I hope everybody else in Florida weathered Wilma OK, especially you South Florida folks. We got lots of rain and some big wind gusts for about 6 hours or so here in Orlando.
So a little before 2 pm on Monday, I'm looking out the window, it's pouring again/still. Wind is blowing hard again/still. And a mini van with a USPS logo drives up, a civil servant in a raincoat jumps out grabs a big box out of the back. I met him out front and took possession of my new 1674 Country Artist! Thanks to Serge, our resident Country Artist! I wasn't even expecting it until Tuesday!
Got my new guitar unpacked, started playing. Finally look outside again about 3 pm - the rain was gone and the sun was shining! I told my wife I should buy a guitar everytime Florida is threatened by a hurricane.
The only casualty we had from the hurricane was our internet service which finally came back this morning!
Love the CA, nice warm mellow sound. It's great to have a nylon string to play, great new flavor of Ovation brand ice cream to enjoy!
Serge was nice enough to include one of his CDs with the guitar. Great music! Very inspiring, makes me want to play more each time I listen to it. Thanks for everything Serge! |
