It's a Glen Campbell -- S/N suggests 1981. anythong in particular I should ask about?

Damn, I'm tempted to pull the trigger even though She-Who-Must-Be-Obeyed would not be pleased.

It does look tempting. Have you renewed the prescription for your will power medication? You can please some of the people...... Nice guitar.

fret wear, cracks (to include finish), chips, scratches, separation of bridge, twisting of neck, etc., etc.

ask for bowl, top, binding, fretboard, neck, headstock - be specific.

this looks like a great opportunity for a wonderfull guitar...don't think it will last the day, will go BIN.

check out, may be able to call the seller for your questions.

So, what? You saying you need a gasbgone? Or are you just trying to be 'above average'?

That is the exact model that I owned. My very First Ovation. There have been so many times that i wished i still had her. I loved that guitar. Everytime i see one i'm flooded with great memories. The sound was incredible. Tony's right, it probably won't last the night ,..since the BIN price is so good.

I talked to Dan (dankuse of the OFC) at the store...appears to be in excellent shape.

As I have been known to do, went ahead and bought it for the BIN.

I asked them not to ship to me until Monday. If anyone (first rights to Bill Bain) wants to buy an outstanding guitar for a great price ($395 plus $30 shipping), contact me by 6pm PST tomorrow.

This is an Ovation slothead 12-str - there isn't a better guitar. If someone wants to buy it from me later, it will be more expensive.

We need to honor Tony with a title, like All Powerful Wizard of Ovations or Noble Rescuer or something. I want to be like him when I grow up. Noah's right up there, too. Still lovin my 1537.

If it's still available, I'll take Tony up on that offer. I just couldn't get back to eBay to call about the guitar or to hit the B-I-N. Sometimes the doggone day job gets in the way.

Paypal OK? I can get the funds to you however you want.

Bill,

Sorry...I didn't realize that Bruce (Noah) was in direct contact with both principals at the store and was in the process of the BIN.

If he hadn't been in direct contact with them, I would have honored the fact that you started this thread asking for assistance.

My role was to adopt the guitar, if necessary, until someone here had the opportunity to decide. I have a near-mint dark sunburst that I had to pay more than this one...saw several go last year for $750. I will probably sell mine in the near future.

In addition to the GC, I have a number of Ovation & Adamas 12-strings (1688 AD-I, 6759CL, 1659CL, 1658CL, and a 1968 shiny bowl), as well as three electrics (Ovation PD Deluxe, Hamer Newport, and the Wurlitzer).

Couldn't find a good Hurricane (Storm series). Typical Italians, has a switch to go from Solo, Sharp, to Wild.

Dang, some days it just doesn't pay to get out of bed -- sitting in airport waiting to get home (fire at Schipol hosed connecting flights back to US), thought I had bought a guitar, took red-eye home, get to office and find out I didn't.

There's got to be a song in that somewhere. :-)

Actually, if Bruce was talking with the store, it's entirely appropriate that he get the guitar. I suspect a nice Pacemaker weill turn up soner or later.

Schipol? I'm on my way there tomorrow (arrive Sunday AM). I wonder if there's any chance that I could use the "fire" excuse to cancel my trip. I'm sure my boss would not want to exose me to a potentially dangerous situation. or would he. Dave
