Looks more like a uke than a mando.

The humidity just spiked in Phoenix...

It may look like a uke, but when I contacted the maker, after it appeared here he said it was a mando and had no intent to make a uke at that time. He may have changed, but I've got another short scale instrument now.

It's not a ukulele. I've seen this before. It's a steel stringed mando missing half of it's strings. Uke strings don't work well with magnetic pu's. Dave

If you'd READ it,
you'd have noticed that it said
"STEEL STRUNG" Ukelele . . . ;)

Those risa's are steel strung. Some will call them ukuleles (anything 4 string w/ octave 4th), but they ain't. Dave

the Ukes referenced in my post just above are steel strung too...

I shoulda been more clear and asked Dave, if he meant just "traditional nylon uke strings" don't work well with mag pups...

... and get those leather biker digs cleaned, we have a gig in New Hope tonight...
