Hey guys...

I thought I would pass this along, If anyone is interested. I've been thinking of buying this one all day. I know it's cracked, but it doesn't seem too bad at all. I got some input from the seller. The cracks don't run under the bridge, and it doesn't have much wear at all, according to the him. He also was going to give me a break on the shipping, so if you're interested, email him before buying. If I didn't buy two new Elites in the last few months, I would have got this one:

I saw that one ... "Cracks in the wood" scared me away and the seller emphasized that point. If it were finish cracks, it'd be gone already. But then again, I associate cleats with baseball, not guitars.

Yeah I know...

The cracks didn't thrill me either, but I saw one of these a few months ago, with a long crack on the center of the lower bout, sell for over $500. To me, it still seems like a good buy. A new 1718 sells for over $900. It would be worth the price of the repair.

You could probably have a whole new top put on (in your choice of color) for under $500, still making this a great deal. Dave

This is the third email I received from the seller in reply...

"PS
the action is so low with no buzzes and it sounds and plays beautiful.. A great value....go on steal it"

Sorry to be the voice of dissent but I wouldnt buy it for that price plus $36 shipping. I commonly see older Elites and Legends in better shape (from 100% feeback sellers) going for $300-500.

You have to asked what happened that caused multiple cracks in this guitar. The fact that it's damaged, and the fact that with a little patience you could probably get a much nicer guitar for close to the same price, makes me give it a thumbs down. Maybe for $200 or so it might make a decent project guitar.

I agree with Brian. This looks like heartache waiting to happen. Note the scratches on the bowl. It just looks like a guitar that has not had an easy life. If one bought this, I'd be ready to spend up to $500 making it right.
