There's a parody of Harry Chapin's "Cat's In the Cradle" that we occasionally do

"Cat's In the Kettle" :

Did you ever think when you eat Chinese
It ain't beef or pork but a fat Siamese
But the food tastes great so you don't complain
But that's not chicken in the Chicken Chow Mein
Seems to me I ordered Sweet and Sour Pork
But Garfield's on my fork
He's purrin' here on my fork

There's a cat in the kettle at the Peking Moon
The place that I eat every day at noon
They can feed you cat but you'd never know
Once they wrap it up in dough, boys
They fry it real crisp in dough

Chow Lin asked me if I wanted more
as he was dialin' up his buddy at the old pet store
I said "Not today, I lost my appetite"
There's two cats in my belly and they want to fight
I was suckin' on Rolaids or a Tums or two
When I swear I heard it "mew" , boys
And that was when I knew

There's a cat in the kettle at the Peking Moon
I think I gotta stop eatin' there at noon
They can say it's beef or fish or pork
But it's purrin' here on my fork, boys
There's a hairball on my fork

Funny stuff Cliff. It is better the Harry's original.

Sorry, I just never saw (heard) the appel in his music. But we all have our own taste. Some people will even swear that they like Bob Dylan.

As a songwriter, Dylan (Zimmerman) is top notch. As a performer he is, uhmm, right up there with Kristofferson.

I've seen Dylan a few times, once with the Heartbreakers. I enjoyed all the shows immensely. He rocked. Straight up.

I've never seen one of his live shows so I'll concede the point. I'd like to see him perform in person. Anyway, I was being facetious. Cheers

... I didn't realize Kristofferson was such a rocker...
