Joined: October 2005 Posts: 9 Location: Croatia | :) I have had the OVATION Guitar for most 20 years and I am very satisfied with it. It’s my favorite guitar and I cannot imagine music without this instrument. When I was a kid, I was dreaming of having a guitar like this. I have buy in summer of 1986 Ovation guitar in bad condition, actually I have changed some no brand guitar for this Ovation guitar with my friend. When it came to my hands it was in a lousy condition, with a broken neck, a broken Fingerboard, some frets were missing, without Preamp & Electronics, without Case. With some fortune and help from my friends, the guitar was successfully repaired. I bought a Case for it, put on an under-saddle pickup (unfortunately I couldn’t buy an original) and I have played on it ever since. But now I have a question. How old is my guitar? Who bought it and where? Which model is it ? When is it made and what is its serial number? It is possible that nowhere cant me give answer on these guestion, before 5 years I put these question to Kaman Music but I don’t have answers. The only information of my Ovation guitar that I have is: 1. From the inside of Machine Heads there is a patent number: KLUSON DELUXE Patent No. D-169400 2. On the bottom of the body there is a metal hook for the guitar strap on which is printed hardly readable next text: 4 MOLLY JACK NUT USA PAT. 2964969 I think that the guitar is very old, maybe it is produced in 60’ or 70’. I hope that you can give me more information of my guitar. I will mail this letter with some pictures of my guitar and my own drawing of Top Bracing.I am very grateful for your understanding and I hope that you will send me an answer very soon. email: denismovethisdelondothr I can't put the image on topic ???

Some pictures would help a whole lot! What shape is the bridge? What fret does the neck come to the body at? Steel or Nylon strung? Take a look in the Gallery area and see if there is anything close to what you have. Take a long look in: www.ovationgallery.com Peace

And I guess the are to you :-) Click on the Sell/trade section on the top left. You find ovation guitars and more ovation stuff fopr sale there. I am sure you will find someone who will sell you his beautiful guitar and ship it to croatia. The best way is to have a paypal account (www.paypal.com) for international payments. It is easy and secure. I at least, love it :-) I cannot help you with your beautiful oldie guitar. I am more of a player than a specifications maniac. But I have got my guys here to do that for me :-) Enjoy your time here and best wishes from germany!
