Joined: November 2002 Posts: 1300 Location: Madison, Wisconsin | Got a chance to see Nickel Creek last night. WOW! What a show. Don't miss these guys if they show up in your area. They have such a great time on stage and are fantastic musicians. They played for 1-1/2hrs, nearly non-stop, with an amazing amount of energy. They really strech the limits of what some would consider a bluegrass band. | ||

They came through here a while back and opened for John Mayer but had no idea the show was coming. Was REALLY ticked that one went by. Joined: December 2004 Posts: 59 Location: North Carolina | I saw those "hot pikin' hillbilly kinfolk" not too long ago. The guitar player and banjo player are brothers ,Rodney and Doug Dillard. Out of Missouri, I think, they were instrumental in paving the way for groups like The Eagles and the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. I think Doug played with the Byrds at some point. They are still Pickin and grinnin'. The guy who played the bass lost his hearing, and no longer plays. He started a combination Veterinary/Taxidermy business. One way or the other, you're gonna get your dog back! | ||
