I don't get any of those magazines. I get all the advertising for Ovation right here on the OFC. But I do know that when I go into the Guitar Center, I am the oldest guy in there and all the others look a lot more like Nikki Sixx than like me. Except that I'm probably closer to his age than they are. Fact is that the kids spend the money and the advertisers know that.

Ok, compromise. Put a few Ovation ads in the AARP Magazine!

I will continue my Word-O-Mouth campaign until Tacoma gives me a Sponsorship.

The AARP magazine is a great idea! I don't read it, but my wife does and if they had Ovation ads in there she might buy me one. I can't open a magazine that has stories about how to have sex when you're old.

The thought of pictures has kept me from opening any of the magazines. My father-in-law signed me up, not as the cruel joke that it was, but because he thinks the senior citizen discount is a great deal. I haven't used it in the couple years that I've had the AARP card. I think my wife just renews my membership so that she doesn't have to get her own.
Maybe Ovation ads in with the Viagra ads wouldn't be such a good thing, but I'm sure some of you marketing gurus could come up with something, no pun intended.
How about "the new LX. You don't need to seek medical help if you can't put it down for four hours."

Taurus? I thought all pi's that wore aloha shirts had a 328 Ferrari. The Taurus makes a helluva weapon though ... the 328 just sorta flips the perp up in the air when you hit 'em.

Since it doesn't seem we have many Nicky Sixx admirers, how about this endorser picture from the Adamas website ...

I know this is irrelevant but the first thing I thought of seeing that shot is "Tara Reid in 10 years."

You are now free to go back to the discussion in progress.

How about Al as an endorser "He's not your everyday guitar hero but we like him better" or at the next tour take the group photo and say "This many people may be wrong about most things, but not about Ovation guitars"
