Location: Hicksville, NY | Wow ... sounds like you have a real keeper there. I'm sorry that I can't help you with its value, but considering the specs that you just provided (if I were the proud owner), it's one priceless instrument, and it will be in good hands under my care for many more years to come ...
Just my .02 :)
p.s.
-- original strings? how'd you manage to preserve that for 38 years? |

Welcome, if it really is a 1112 model , it was built after 1969. serial number on sticker in bowl should help date year made. What do the stickers look like inside bowl??
Earliest were rectangular, them metal oval, then blue paper oval.
Of course the easiest way is just to see if the outside of the bowl is shiny/smooth or textured. smooth = early 1969 and before, textured = later years
reference section on left of this page should have a serial number list for you to date year. hope it helps, mike |

thanks for all of your help. after researching by the serial number (rectangular 6 digits) it appears that it is a 1975 ovation custom balladeer. Pristine shape. Strings maintained as it was just not played a lot (maybe 20 times).
Great sound. Any idea of value?
thanks Lyn |

350 seems low. I paid $600 (Can) for it when purchased and extra for the hardshell case.

Location: SoCal | Overall, $350 US might be low. I'd say $450-$750 US. What's the conversion rate these days? |

Our dollar is about .8 of your right now.
thanks again.
Appreciate your feedback. I have an ovation tangent acoustic/electric and three other guitars so I haven't played the balladeer for years.
