I think it's a Balladeer. I've had guitars with floating bridges, held in place by string tension like my Gretsch, but not any bolted ones. I'd like to see one, any idea which models have them? If the bridge appears to be lifting, this could mean the soundboard is distended, which could mean the bracing has failed.... Take her to the ER.

There weren't a lot of them done that way but there were some. All bridges are glued down whether there were screws or not.As far as the bridge lift goes, if it's only a small lift on a corner it could stay like that for years, now if it's lifting from the back side of the bridge I would get that taken care of right away.

I figure its gonna end up between 100 and 150 when its done. The sound was so rich I just hope that this wont affect that.

You might ask the repair person if they can determine what caused he damage. My guess is exposure to temperature and humidity, but that is only a guess. Ovations are generally pretty tough guitars, and don't fail under normal, or near noemal, conditions. All of us need to know what causes that kind of failure if it can be known. Bailey
