We are all fans of musicians, bands, singer/songwriters who we feel don't get the recognition they should...They are very talented, tour hard, have a small but devoted fan base, but just don't fit the commercial mold that allows for wider exposure...

Well, as fans, let's SPEAK UP! Who are they?? Let us know...

Scott Miller

Richard Thompson

Martin Zeller

James McMurtry

Mark Oliver Everett -- known as "E" or the frontman and creative mind behind The Eels.

He was dropped by his label after doing "Broken Toy Shop" which is one of my top five albums of all time. Although it got critical acclaim, it didn't sell enough.

Jeff,

I have seen James McMurtry, I stumbled into a bar
in Austin, and he happend to be playing.
I had a conversation with him, being my last name is McMurtry.
His father is the author of the classic "Lonesome Dove".

Cheers

Carrie Newcomer is an outstanding singer and songwriter. We've seen her in concert twice and talked with her...a class act.

(WARNING: slooowww loading website...but gorgeous once loaded)

Rory Block, who does acoustic blues. Haven't had the chance to see her, but her last two CDs especially have been outstanding.

Kate Rusby, who does Celtic/British folk. Excellent singer and songwriter.

I liked Ralph Machio he was fantastic in that Movie crossroads! He should play more guitar and stop trying to act!

Funny, Mr. Golf asked if I could help stage manage for Cliff this week (had to decline). By stage manage, I mean lift heavy things and block the doorway when called for.
