I am looking at two "slightly used" 12 strings, both are in extremely good shape. One is a black/red Melissa, the other a CS-245. The Melissa is a little more than twice the price. Any comments of which is better? Pros & cons of either? Better bang for my buck? Which has a better acoustic-only sound? Thanks for any/all help!

The Melissa is a lot more than twice the guitar, acoustically or plugged in. Spend the money and buy the quality.

Where in SoCal are you and where are the guitars?

There is a good reason the Melissa costs more. If you can afford it, BUY IT. Dave

Guitars are back east; would love to find locally... shipping guitars ain't good.
As for me, I'm in Oceanside. Where in MV are you? (I grew up there...)

Ooh, ooh, ooh ... I'm just itching for an excuse for a road trip.

P.S. Dragon ... I've had lots of guitars shipped cross country. It's really no big deal. Go for the ME if it's within your $$, they don't get much better than that.

Definately the ME...worth way more than twice the CS.

I have a Melissa, I've played the CS245. The sound you're hearing is me rolling on the floor dying laughing at the thought of these guitars being comparable.

Get the ME 12-string.
