He's in New York to be inducted in the Country Music Hall of Fame tomorrow and did about 6 minutes on the show. He appeared to be playing a Custom Elite Contour bowl. Looked and sounded great. And he didn't sound to bad for a man approaching 70. Here's a link http://www.foxnews.com/video2/player05.html?111405/dayside_campbell... Just pick high speed, sit back, and enjoy.

I've forgotten my own songs, now that's embarrassing. Glen is one of the best ever, he's allowed to flub up. He probably had a taste, or a line or two before the show. The talent does come through.

He started the song a half step lower than normal and then instinct took over and he struck the D chord (which is the correct chord in the right key), but should have played a D flat since he was a half step below the right key. Anyway, I thought he and the guitar both sounded and looked great. I'm just curious whether that guitar belongs to him or if the studio provided it for him to use. Glen has a habit of showing up for TV appearances and using whatever guitar is handy. He hosted a Christmas special 7-8 years ago that took place at various locations. At one venue, he and Collin Raye were dueting on "Silent Night" as both played Korean made Epiphones! As for Glen being the first Ovation endorsee, Dave's right, that honor goes to Josh White. However, I don't think anyone would argue that Glen was their first "high profile" endorsee and the one who put them on the map.

One of the best things I was ever tought was to spend considerable time practicing like I was performing. Meaning, if you screw up, just keep going. Early on (man does this go back a lot of years) I developed the habit of stopping and going back if I screwed up a lick. I wanted to get it perfect before I went on. Learning to play through a mistake is a valuable thing. Lord knows I've had plenty of practice. Cheers! Jeff

I made mistakes at both service but kept going. The mistake at the midnite service was big enough to where I think people noticed, but I'll be damned if I was going to tell them I screwed up. Been practicing all year. I can now play that tune and know if well enough to where if I make a mistake, I know where I'm going and can easily move past it (I know, great last words).
