Have you seen any uglier. Not much of the original left. Perhaps it could stop a bullet. |

Wonder what the reserve is....body and paint looked to be in nice shape. |

Location: Upper Left USA | It is begging for some Walnut Burl with a Dimebag Darrel (SD - very hot) hidden under the PG. Place a single dual switch way back out of the way and you have it.
Keep it simple, make it hot! |

| I've seen but not played several custom's lately that have "hidden" pups under the pg, most have been preamped tho.
God Bless,

Location: Boise, Idaho | I have a borrowed sheet metal cutter that I haven't returned yet. Maybe I should cut out a bunch of custom chrome pickguards before I give it back and sell them for big bucks. |

The Variax does something like this. A ceramic magnet (hot) like the Dimebag is fairly pow'full. I asked this question over on the Seymour Duncan site.
I have also experimented by setting the pickups low and placing PG material between them and the strings.
If you were to shave a little bit off the back of a BW or Viper neck you could lower the bridge accordingly.
Just a concept and theory at this time... |

Location: 6 String Ranch | This would be a good project guitar. The neck and body look to be in really good shape. Take it from there. I'd put 2 firebird pickups. |
