I mixed up the D and the A string. And the strings are trimmed to short to make work. I'll have to wear the scarlet "R" for a week. :(

If it helps they label the package that the string comes in.....bigger number goes towards bass side, smaller number towards treble. Keep trying, you'll get it right. Yuck-Yuck-Yuck

Joined: February 2004 Posts: 2487 | I was at a band members home once and after playing various other members guitars one night I changed the strings on my guitar to make it sound better. Concentrating deeply and working diligently to accomplsh this tedious goal while quite stoned. I finally finished the task and tuned it close to let it sit for a while. I then stood up and set my friends guitar down on the couch right next to my guitar with that same old set of strings! I was wrong about what guitar I was restringing. I was wrong and I often am Randy

Once I had to restring my guitar in a hurry before a gig, and in my haste, restrung the entire thing backwards (I'm left handed and strung it righty)! I mean, I strung the whole thing and didn't realize what I'd done until I went to tune it.

Having been reduced to rookie status for the time being, I'm tempted to ask "What kind of strings should I put on my Breadwinner?".... but I won't.

Joined: September 2003 Posts: 9301 Location: south east Michigan | I guess I could just by the two strings but I'd have to drive 10 miles to the store that sells seperate strings. There's a small shop right close. I'll just buy a complete set and take the hit. Perhaps my charter-captain co-worker can use the old/new strings for Muskie leaders or something. Maybe I'll buy a set of "Ernie Ball Super Slinky Rock & Roll" strings. The set I screwed up was "Fender Silver Bullets". And BrianT...Just keep it up pal....remember...I know where you sleep!
