Does anyone here have any experience with the Ned Stienberger capo made by Planet Waves. Ned is a genius, I wonder if his capo is?

Probably for the same reason some people began playing Ovations over 35 years ago when others said "Martin & Guild......why switch from proven winners." I have no idea how well this particular capo works, altho it looks very similar to the Dunlop Victor, which does work very well (and comes in sizes to fit different fretboard radii). My point is that improvements are constantly occurring in this field (heck, the G7th is only a couple of years old itself), and we "O-heads" should be more accepting of new ideas than those who only stick with tried and true wooden box guitars.

I saw a country guy, using a Hamer, over the weekend and the NS seemed to work for him.

Now that I've been using my OSP-1, I'm interested in using a Capo.

Ahhhhh dmkozak, the grasshopper shames the master.

You are, of course, correct!

The Planet Waves NS isn't Steinbergers first attempt at a capo. I found this contraption left behind at a gig a couple of years ago. It says "designed by Ned Steinberger" on one side and on the other it says "Mighty Mite" which is presumably the same parts/pickup company that helped fuel the brass hardware fad of the late 70's. The capo follows the same spring principle as the Kyser Quick change and Dunlop Trigger. And it's about as good as those two, which IMHO is not very.

early NS capo
