The OP-50 has all the bells and whistles, but the OP-Pro is the is the flagship and probably the better sounding pre-amp.
You need to play these guitars yourself. They all have their own voices. I think the SMT is a bit smoother, and softer. The CVT are clean and loud with more harmonic overtones. The MEII has only bass side holes and epaulets. It has bigger "middle tones". None of them are lacking, they are just different. While you're at it you should try to get your hands on a 1688 or 1685 Adamas I or II 12 string. Some will say these are the best sounding 12 strings, hands down, period, end of discusion. None of them suck. |
