The machine heads on my late 70's folklore have slipped on the a string. Of course, this means that I have to - at least - replace the entire 3-machine unit on the left hand side.

Now, the Ovation supplier in the UK wants the staggering sum of £168 for a set of machines. I have had this fabulous guitar - that out-'tones' ANY newer Ovation I have played - for over 20 years, and I miss playing it!!!!This charge, though, is pure robbery, and I refuse to pay it.

Can ANYONE suggest somewhere I can get a set or similar. Goddam slot-headed Ovations!

Thanks in advance for all good ideas

He is the disembodied voice that you hear when you call Lost Art/Vintage Instruments. He is our idiot...that in a career change decided to sell gear for a living. You can also find him at the link to the left or email/PM Mr. alpep of this forum.

He never closes.

Al is one of the originators of this board, is our Ovation dealer of choice, and has an intimate working relationship with the guys at the factory. Don't waste your time on anyone else...don't think...just call Al. And come to the factory tour next year...you'll meet him (what a treat). John <>{

Those tuneres sold for 62 bucks. There were twelve gold slothead tuners. I thought it was a good deal.
Al is an Ovation guru. Resident expert. He sells parts, equipment, and guitars.

When you call Al, tell him you want lotsa stuff and call him an awesome dude. Before you call, you might want to read a few of the last threads he started (he's "alpep").
