The Ovation in this auction cost $300 new. Are there any ovations at this price new? Isn't the strat one of the cheapies?

You can get a Celebrity 057 for $299 at Guitar Center. I think that's what that is.

Mark beat me to it, and I'll agree with him. So far, only the Celebrities are the only known Ovations that I know that costs around 300 bucks brand new, unless if you would like to include their Applause lines.

Unless they're Squiers, I still have yet to see a brand new strat that will be considered a cheapie. Even the strats made in Mexico are beginning to cost a bit of money.

Yep, that looks like a CC026, it has a cutaway. You can also get a CC01 with either a spruce or mahogany top that is even cheaper...no electronics, deep bowl, no cutaway.
