Mr. Witco has done me a great service by taking the 35 year old reel-to-reel tape and converting it to a CD. Four months before my 16th birtday we recorded about a dozen songs from our garage band's first gig. It's not going to win any type of quality contest. There are sections that are like fingernails on a blackboard and yet flashes here and there when I just smile when something, more by chance, does comes together.
That disc is quite a little time machine. It was a time when rock-stardom was just around the corner and I really did know everything. The world was alot smaller and actually seemed to revolve around me. No digital tuners, no P.A. system, and no fear. Nothing but the inflated ego of youth.
Thanks for the help Dave. It brought the proverbial tear t'me eye and a smile t'me face. |

Location: Phoenix AZ | Glad you like it Brad. It was actually fun doing it for you. Brought a tear to my eye as well, but probably for different reasons than you. I've got to admit the guitar work was pretty darn good, even for its day. Were you a Who fan? One day please tell us all the story behind your opera.
Enjoy, Dave |

Location: south east Michigan | Before this gets out of hand, let me say that our "time travel opera" did not get very far. Maybe two songs.
I think one went something like:
.
Heather it's almost finished
I'm sure that it will work
The Time Machine is ready to show me
What the future holds for this Earth.....
.
Ahh me....those were some special years. |
