Location: SE Michigan | I agree that tastes vary and what some people like other people abhor. I think that many of the all-wooden-box crowd would be more accepting of Ovations if the bowl were made of some exotic organic material, say something like fossilized sea-turtle shell. It would be even better if the bowl material involved threatened or endangered species and some type of international controversy.
That and keep pounding away with publicity. That’s why regardless of what the reviewers said it was great to see a high-end Ovation featured in AG Magazine. |

I say this somewhat kiddingly, but he was all but forgotten about, except for the bluehair crowd in Branson. Then he gets thrown in jail whammo, a year later he's inducted into the country music hall of fame!
