Such a deal!

fguki, you missed nothing. Two buyers who each had more money than sense, and let it get into a "death duel". A seller's dream.

Wow, all I know is if he gets his price, I'm going to see if he will sell my korean Ovation. I won't even charge extra for the dents and cracks.

Ohmigosh... maybe the seller is on to something there, selling stuff located here in America overseas on German eBay. Apparently vintage ovations are in short supply over there... this is the same model I just paid $285 for!!!!!!!

Uh, NO. That is the German form of stating $1225.00. Check the Euro value beneath it. 1 Euro is worth a little bit more than $1.00.

For what it's worth, both the buyers that fought over it are from the U.S.(?????).....

Well then that's absolutely nuts... they're out of their minds.

This HAS to be a new scam somehow, probably involving currency exchange and targeting eBay possibly.

I don't know enough about currency exchange to figure it out, but I know when something smells awfully rotten. Why would a suspicious transaction between US parties ocurr on German eBay?
